Louise Harrelson Obituary

Louise M. Harrelson VIRGINIA BEACH - Louise M. Harrelson went home to be with the Lord Sept. 29, 2009. Louise was born in Danville, Va., Jan. 12, 1920 to parents James and Myrtle Melton. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Rowland "R.C" Harrelson and sister, Rachel Moore. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, sisters, Betty Franks of Danville and Elsie Ure of Newport News. Louise had a large and loving family who will miss her, including daughters, Pamela Self and husband Donald of Norfolk and Robin West and husband Lee of Virginia Beach. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were the light of her life. Known lovingly as Granny, she had five granddaughters, Callie Johnson and husband DeWitt of Norfolk, Donna Magoncia and husband Joe of Honolulu, Hawaii, Jennifer Riley and husband Paul of Norfolk, Amber Lindros and husband Ben, and Megan Jernigan, all of Virginia Beach. Her great-grandchildren include Ashley, Rachel and Lyndsey Tompkins, Hunter Orzo, Christian Magoncia, Noel and Grace Riley and Gabriella Lindros. Louise's family also includes many nieces and nephews and friends who will miss her. Family visitation will be Friday, Oct. 2, 2009 from 6 to 8 p.m. in Woodlawn Funeral Home, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd., Norfolk. Graveside services will be Saturday, Oct. 3, 2009 at 11 a.m. in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Condolences may be offered to the family online at www.woodlawngroup.com.

Pam and Robin,
"Aunt Louise" was always so loving to all of us and she loved all of her family. Our prayers are with you, but we know she is in a better place now.
