Kathleen Edwards Obituary

Kathleen H. Edwards PORTSMOUTH - Kathleen Hobbs Edwards, 84, died Thursday, Oct. 1, 2009. A native of Emporia, Va., she was preceded in death by her husband, Victor Stephenson Edwards and a son, V. Steve Edwards Jr. She was an active member of Pinecrest Baptist Church for 26 years. Survivors include a daughter, Brenda Frakes of Portsmouth; two grandchildren, Victor Stephenson "Stevie" Edwards, III (Kim) of Portsmouth and Jason E. Frakes (Debbie) of McKenney, Va.; four great- grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral will be at noon Saturday, Oct. 3, in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by the Rev. Tom Potter. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 to 8 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Pinecrest Baptist Church. www.SturtevantFuneralHome.com
