Jean Seifert Obituary

Jean B. Seifert VIRGINIA BEACH - Mrs. Jean B. Seifert, 80, of Middleburg, Fla., and former longtime resident of Virginia Beach, passed away Thursday, Sept. 24, 2009. She was also a 33-year breast cancer survivor. She was preceded in death by her husband, John E. "Mickey" Seifert and a son, Russell Allen Seifert. Her survivors include her sons, Norman "Chuck" Seifert of Suffolk and Glen Seifert of Export, Pa., and daughter, Donna Lowery of Orange Park, Fla.; her mother, Florence Bright Sanders of Conneaut, Ohio; three sisters, seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Her family and friends were her most treasured possessions. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in her name.

I have many fond memories of Jean. Not only from Plaza Bowl, but because she was a neighbor. I enjoyed bowling in her 8 or better tournaments and Saturday night Scotch Doubles. I am sure she will be missed dearly by her friends and family.
