Michael Lynch Obituary

Michael J. Lynch VIRGINIA BEACH - Michael John Lynch, 57, was suddenly called home to God Oct. 20, 2009. Beloved father of James Joseph Lynch, he was predeceased by his wife, Laura Ann. Michael was the loving son of Doris and James Lynch of Virginia Beach. The devoted brother of Jean Lynch of Virginia Beach and Mary Anne Lynch of Waldorf, Md. He was the uncle to many nieces and nephews and the proud godfather to Michael I. Lynch. He was also the nephew of John Barry of Little Falls, N.J. He will always lovingly be remembered by many cousins. Mike was employed by Strickland Auto Group of Ahoskie, N.C., for nine years and was loved by all of his colleagues. He was a student of theology for many years and attained his Ph.D. from Andersonville Baptist Seminary. Mike was quite a man of God; he exhibited his beliefs in all his endeavors and relationships and his love was apparent to all who knew him. He will be sorely missed, but the lives he touched are forever changed and his spirit lives on in our celebration of his life. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel, Friday, Oct. 23, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Colonial Grove Memorial Park. Condolences may be offered to the family at www. hollomon-brown.com.
