Felipe Dahilig Obituary

Felipe I. Dahilig VIRGINIA BEACH - Felipe I. Dahilig, 53, of the 3500 block of Purebred Drive, passed away Oct. 17, 2009, in Norfolk. A native of Guimba Nueva Ecija, Philippines, Mr. Dahilig retired from the United States Navy as a senior chief petty officer. He is survived by his wife, Maxima V. Dahilig; his father, Elipidio Dahilig of the Philippines; three children, Charmaine Cortezano and husband Reno, Vincent Dahilig and Charlyn Dahilig; and three grandchildren, Alyssa Gail Dahilig, Leah Marie Dahilig and Marley Dahilig Cortezano, all of Virginia Beach. He is also survived by his three sisters, Lydia Bala and husband Francisco of the Philippines, Lina Dahilig of Hawaii and Aurea Samson and husband Gil of New Jersey; a brother, Ben Dahilig and wife Baby of the Philippines; and three nieces, Ashley Samson and Jessica Samson of New Jersey and KellyAnne Dahilig of Hawaii. He was predeceased by his mother, Marcela Dahilig. A funeral will be conducted Wednesday, Oct. 28, at 11 a.m. in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel with the Rev. Luke Policicchio, O.S.B. officiating. The burial with military honors will follow in Colonial Grove Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. with a wake beginning at 7 p.m. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon- brown.com.
