Lester was indeed a unique character. I had the privledge and honour of being his roommate in 1999 til early 2000. We quickly became friends that shared many good times. I look back with fond memories of us going out to eat on fridays, drinking beer while surfing the internet, and just laughing and joking around. I know his spirit will always be with us. I wish I would had kept contact with him over the years, but we kinda lost touch. Nevertheless, I will always treasure the good times, and remember what a really good guy and soul he was.

Speaking of Lester and his lotto tickets, I remember the day he actually bought a car with a ticket!!! He was always winning those things.
I am having a very hard time believing he is gone. I see the house every day and even though he's not there I think he is. I miss his silly butt!!

I dont know how many will know this story but its one of my favorite memorys of Moe... We worked together in the warehouse in Virginia Beach. One day I decided to play a prank on him and i brought in these Gag lottery tickets... well I took one up to Moe and told him I just spent my last dollar on it and didnt have a drink would he please buy it from me so I could get a drink... He, of course hemmed and hawed about it to give me a hard time but eventually gave me a dollar... I left straightway and went back to my bench to work... about 5 minutes later I see Moe get up and head to the door... I said to him "Moe where are you going"... he was all flustered... "uh uh no where" he replied... "uh uh just gonna go to 7-11 and get me a drink"... I was like "oh okk Moe"... "hey did you win anything on that lottery ticket"... he was like "uh uh no"... "nope nothing"... I said "oh... ok well sorry Moe"... He was like "dont worry about it" and busted out the door. HA HA HA!!!!! Moe went to his car and sat down to read the back and was going to leave and go cash the ticket... He was actually looking at the instructions cause it was like a $50,000 winner but a fake ticket... he came back in all messed up with me... I laughed so hard my tummy hurt... He kept telling me it was messed up... I said to him "Moe whats messed up is that you THOUGHT you won it and lied to me... he shut up real quick and went back to work... When I was doing that work at his house we talked about it again and just laughed... he laughed at himself too...but said he was going to share it with me after he cashed it... ha ha ha! Moe was such a wonderful person... he was different but wonderful! I will never forget how he helped me out! And last year my kids had a good Christmas because of him! Thank you Moe you will never be forgotten in my house!

lester,
i miss you. I loved to talk on the phone to you and laugh about all the crazy stuff going on in our lives. You were like a brother to me. Such a kind and sensitive listener. You always made me smile. I am so glad we went out to Golden Corral a couple of weeks before your passing. I don't know of too many people who have been friends for 34 years like we had, and never had a difference of opinion. I miss ya buddy. You were a great guy to know and love. Robin was quite shocked about your illness and passing. He and you were very close back in the day. I think about you many times in a day, and everytime i buy a lottery ticket. I never did get how you knew when to buy them or not by looking at the serial numbers. Anyway, say hello to your mom and dad, and know that you are truly missed.
Love Linda & Robin.

Not that I'm biased or anything, but Lester was a great man and the best dad in the universe. He always made sure his family was taken care of. Even from a state away, I could call him day or night about anything and he always knew how to pick me up when I needed it most. I don't think he ever met anyone who didn't like him, and he was your friend for life. He always managed to keep in touch with everyone. I really wish now that I had been calling him every day from the start instead of waiting until his first trip to the hospital. Dad was very laid back, caring, and had a way of making everyone laugh. I miss him so much, but I know he's in a better place now where he doesn't have to feel pain or go to the doctor, or have any worries at all. I know I'll see him again, and it's the greatest comfort. Until then I have pictures and birthday gifts from years past and a box full of random things to help me remember all the good times I did get to share with him.
