Mary Jane,

We were so sorry to hear about Henry. We're here in Newport News visiting Barbara Murphy and Nancye Wilson and they told us. We both have fond memories of our cruise together and of the delicious dinner that Henry prepared for us that time in Rescue.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Dearest Mary Jane & Family,
I am unable to describe in words how we felt when we learned that "Little Henry" had fallen ill and then had passed so suddenly. When God comes for you, he indeed says that you will not know the time, place or the reason for which he hath come for you but yet that person in which he has come for will so gladly take his hand and leave this life to go to where he's always imagined and to accompany his Loved ones that he has also had to grieve in the past. I picture Little Henry being led by his father to a fascinating place with a great big smile on his face and he is so astounded he cannot speak but only smile to show his exitement! There are no words to describe the very sweet nature and care that he gave to each one of us so that we may all remember him in our own special way. I often wish that if we could give back all of the lunches he served us, all of the laughter he provided us, all of the generosity he stowed upon us, we could give all that back for just one more morning of "Morrrnnninn Missy" or " Hey Buddy".
All of us will miss him dearly! The Love and support that You and Henry have Shown my husband Cricket and I will never be forgotten. To care for us in life as well as after the death of the most loved one of all, I definitley understand why Henry was so very proud of all of his family. He was truly blessed and ya'll with him and may your days become lighter and easier to get through until you see him again! Sincerley Yours,
Angie

Mary Jane, our love and prayers are with you, Kenneth and Clayton. May God manifest His presence and strength to each of you in a mighty way. Rick had an ability to make a person feel good about themselves, and he was one of the most thoughtful people I have ever known. We still cling to and cherish the memory of a special Christmas Eve about 40 years ago, when Santa Claus came to our door to visit our youngest daughter, who is deaf. Sharon and the rest of us still talk about that act of love and selflessness. Henry Richter was the only person who, with his heart so full of love, took time to come and demonstrate that love and compassion. I told him one time that he could never know just how very much that meant to us. Well, now maybe he understands the enormity of our appreciatiion and gratitude. Thank you both for our years of friendship and for being such good neighbors.

Our prayers and thoughts are with you Aunt Mary Jane, Clay, Kenneth and your families. We will miss uncle shotgun. He was truly one of a kind, a man who loved life, to laugh and most of all his family. I will never forget that great sense of humor and the joy he had just telling a story.
He will be missed but certainly never forgotten. We were all blessed to have had him in our lives.

Mary Jane and Family,
May the LORD hold you in his arms during these difficult days. Rick was a true friend to many and will be missed by us all. When problems developed while building Carrollton Nike Park, Rick always came up with the right solution.

We will never forget Uncle Shotgun, and his generousity towards us when we went to Virginia. When we heard the sad news, the first thing we thought of is not that he died, but that he finally "retired."

Mrs. Richter,

I do not know how to express how saddened we all are over Henry's passing. He was so much more than a co-worker, he was a true friend to all of us at work. We all loved him. Some people touch your lives in ways that you can not express and Henry was one of those people. His kindness, his smile and his laughter made him such a joy to be around. I am so sorry for the pain that you and your family are going through and you will continually be in my prayers.
