William Henry Eure Jr.

Henry Eure GATESVILLE - William Henry Eure Jr., 50, of 204 Academy St., died Thursday, Oct. 29, 2009, in his home. Henry was a native of Gates County and was the son of William H. "Bill" Eure Sr. and Ellen Owens Eure of Gatesville. A loader operator in logging, he was a member of Gatesville United Methodist Church, the Gatesville Hunt Club, and the Gatesville Volunteer Fire Department. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Patty Lister Eure; two sons, Ben Eure and Jerry Eure; and a stepdaughter, Kristen Derrickson, all of Gatesville; and his sister, Alta Eure Blowe and husband Randy of Cofield. A memorial service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Gatesville United Methodist Church by the Rev. Tracy Clayton and the Rev. Gene Asbill. A private committal will be held at a later time.
