Marie Jones

Marie H. Jones NORFOLK - Marie H. Jones, 85, of the 2400 block of Tullibee Drive, went to be with the Lord Oct. 29, 2009. A native of Eden, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Hallie Rowe and the wife of Iver L. Jones. She was a member of Kempsville Baptist Church and its Open Door Bible Class and a member of the Auxiliary of Gideons International, Norfolk Camp. Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, Alfred White and his wife Debby and Jerry White, all of Norfolk; five grandchildren, Rebekah Lynch and her husband Jay, Elisabeth White, Barbara White, Sarah Jones and Paul Thomas Jones and his wife, Lisa; and four great-grandchildren. A funeral will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in Kempsville Baptist Church, Virginia Beach, with Dr. Kelly Burris officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
