Wilbur Cason Obituary

Wilbur Cason Jr. KNOTTS ISLAND - Wilbur W. "Bug" Cason Jr., 84, went home to be with his heavenly Father Friday, Oct. 30, 2009. Mr. Cason was born in Virginia Beach June 27, 1925. He was the son of the late Wilbur and Aleen Cason. Mr. Cason is survived by his wife of 63 years, Jeanette White Cason. Besides his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Wanda Borg (Steve), Debbie Wright and Anita Smith (Brian); his aunt, Blanch Rercha; nine grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews; many cousins and friends. He was a member of the Knotts Island Baptist Church, the American Legion No. 0113, VFW No. 1211 and Knotts Island Ruritan Club. A funeral will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in Knotts Island Baptist Church with Pastors Scott Manns Sr. and Frank Jennings officiating. Burial will follow in Knotts Island Cemetery. In lieu of the flowers, memorial donations can be made to Knotts Island Baptist Church or the American Cancer Society. Twiford's Funeral Home, Chesapeake, is handling arrangements.
