John Claud Obituary

John Thomas Claud Jr. CHESAPEAKE - John Thomas Claud Jr., 68, died Nov. 1, 2009, at his home. Born in Norfolk, he was the son of the late Ethel F. and John T. Claud and he was predeceased by his sister, Patricia Claud Dawson. He retired Aug. 1, 2003 as a real estate appraiser for the U. S. Navy. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Veronica Davis Claud; four sons, John Thomas Claud III and wife Christie W. Claud of Courtland, Va., William Franklin Claud, Stephen Michael Claud and wife Susan E. Claud, and Gregory Davis Claud, all of Chesapeake; grandchildren, Katheryn S. O'Connors, Cortney B. O'Connors, Justin D. Claud, C. Blake Claud, and C. Blair Claud; and sister, Claudette Claud of Drewryville, Va.; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Services will be private. R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home & Crematory, 509 W. Washington St., Suffolk, is serving the family. Memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army, 901 Eden Way N., Chesapeake, VA 23320.
