Willie James Baker Jr. BENSON - Willie James Baker Sr., 81, died Oct. 31, 2009. Mr. Baker is survived by his wife, Janemaree Segars Baker; three daughters, Betsy Weaver and husband Lawrence of Norfolk, Judy Swift of Cedarville, N.J., Lisa Singletary and husband Clarance of Tylertown, Miss.; one son, Willie J. Baker Jr. and wife Scherrye of Chesapeake; one stepdaughter, Eva Massengill and husband Brian of Four Oaks; one stepson, Van Hall and wife Tammy of Reidsville; three sisters, Rachel Mullen of Knoxville, Tenn., Mary Frances Lee of Chesapeake, Lillie May Davis of Richmond; two brothers, AC Baker and Lin Baker, both of Holland, Va.; 13 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and two great-great- grandchildren. A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Joyner's Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery. The Rev. Lawrence Weaver and the Rev. Benny Wayne Poythress will officiate. The family will receive friends from noon to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday prior to the service. Condolences may be directed to www.joyners.net.
