Moti Daryanani Obituary

Moti L. Daryanani VIRGINIA BEACH - Mr. Moti L. Daryanani, 77, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2009, with his three children, wife, and other family members at his bedside. Born in Hyderabad, India, he was the son of the late Lalchand and Mohini Daryanani and resided in Zambia prior to moving to Virginia in 1974. Moti was predeceased by his beloved wife of 30 years, Gopi Daryanani, in 1992. He is survived by his two sons, Deepak and Haresh Daryanani; his daughter, Sangita Seaburg; his wife, Nailia Daryanani; his brother, Hiro Daryanani; his two sisters, Jyoti Chandiramani and Kamloo Beaulieu; and his five grandchildren, Joshua, Jacob, Asha, Julia, and Aneil. Moti loved fine wines and spending time with his grandchildren. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and son. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent in Moti's memory to the Ramakrishna Mission, P.O. Box Belur Math, District Howrah, Calcutta 711 202, India. The family will be happy to collect donations to mail to this non-profit organization that "preaches the unity of the Godhead, or ultimate Reality, and accepts every faith as a valid means for its own followers to realize the Truth, which is universal and all humankind's existence are as one." A memorial service will be held at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, 3600 Virginia Beach Blvd., Virginia Beach, today, Nov. 6, at 3 p.m., followed by a 4:30 p.m. reception at the Virginia Beach Community Chapel, 1261 Laskin Road, Virginia Beach.
