Michael Callender Jr.

Michael H. Callender Jr. NORFOLK - Michael Henry Callender Jr., 22, of the 800 block of Park Row, passed away Nov. 2, 2009. He was born Aug. 17, 1987, to Angela Cowell and Michael Callender Sr. He graduated from Oscar Smith High School and was a member of Bethany Baptist Church, both in Chesapeake. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Peggy Miller Black and Morris Miller. He leaves to cherish his memory his stepfather, Marvin Cowell; a special aunt, Cynthia Miller; paternal grandparents, Hazel Trancoso and Ivan Callender; eight sisters; four brothers; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and other relatives and friends. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Bethany Baptist Church, Chesapeake, Dr. Jake Manley will officiate. Interment will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Viewing will be Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Metropolitan Funeral Service, Berkley Avenue.
