Virginia Smith Obituary

Virginia L. Smith VIRGINIA BEACH - Virginia L. Smith, known as "Flut," of the 5200 block of Condor St., died Nov. 4, 2009. She retired after 34 years of service from Kempsville Elementary School as a custodian and was a member of New Light Full Gospel Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Frank C. Smith; one daughter, Renee Gilchrist; one son, Donnell Gilchrist; one sister, Wilma Ring; and a host of family and friends. A funeral will be held Tuesday, Nov. 10, at 11 a.m. in New Light Baptist Church with Bishop Rudolph Lewis presiding. Burial will be held in Rosewood Memorial Gardens. Community Funeral Home, Norfolk, is handling the arrangements.
