Douglas Harrell Obituary

Douglas Ray Harrell RALEIGH - Douglas Ray Harrell of Coral Ridge Court died Nov. 6, 2009, at the age of 55, after a long-term illness caused by non-alcoholic steatohepatitis liver disease (known as NASH). Harrell, a native of Gates County, North Carolina, retired as manager of the Student Loan Program for Health, Science, and Mathematics for North Carolina state government in 2003 after 30 years. Harrell was preceded in death by his parents, Langley Taylor and Agnes Parker Harrell of Gates. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Langley Taylor Harrell Jr., also of Gates. Harrell is survived by his sister, Barbara Harrell Parker of Gates; a special friend, Julianna Trest; several nieces and nephews. No flowers nor any other contributions shall be made other than to the GMHC, P.O. Box 119, West 24th St., New York, NY 10011. The family welcomed friends at the home of David and Laurie Parker, 9016 Tenderfoot Trail, Raleigh, 27615, to celebrate his life Sunday, Nov. 8, from 3 to 5 p.m.

I am so sorry for the passing of DOuglas Ray. He was my cousin but had not been in touch since we were children except thru family members. Please accept my symphathy thru this time of loss.
