Mary Woolard Obituary

Mary Alice Woolard MOYOCK - A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Mary Alice Woolard, 79, passed away Nov. 10, 2009, with her family by her side. A native of Monroe, Mich., she was the daughter of the late Marion and Edith Hunter and the widow of David M. Woolard. She retired from the Chesapeake Health Department as an administrative supervisor. She is survived by her daughter, Phyllis K. Webb and husband Rick of Moyock; two sons, David M. Woolard Jr. and wife Linda of Englehard, N.C., and Marion "Buddy" Woolard of Kitty Hawk, N.C.; a sister, Jane Kosino of Monroe, Mich.; seven stepchildren, all of Washington, N.C.; six wonderful grandchildren, Kara, Ricky, Kyle, Janice, Felicia and Nicole; a beautiful great- grandchild, Savanah; several nieces and nephews. Her love of life, laughter, family and friends will live in our hearts and those who will miss her most. A graveside service will be conducted Saturday 1 p.m. at Chesapeake Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Frank Thigpen officiating. The family will greet friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel, one hour prior to the service. Family and friends are welcome following the service at 159 Baxter Estates Road, Moyock. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com.
