Ellen, I truely understand the sadness and pain you are feeling now. Watching someone you love slip away slowly is very hard. You think you are prepared for the inevitable but it just takes your breath away when it happens.
You are an incredibily strong and brave woman. Please know that I am thinking of you and wishing I could be there.
When things calm down I would love for us to get together. Please let me know if I can do anything for you.
Your friend Toni

My sincere sympathy is sent to Mr Shuler. Anne was such a "lady". She was greatly loved by all her family. I was so glad I visited with you both this summer. She was a trooper and was determined not to let the cancer take her. Now she is with God.He will care for her now. Remember the many great times you spent together and live with your memories.

Betty, Ellen , Jan and Wade you will miss your mother deeply, but you are blessed in having her active for so many years and memories will help to fill the void. She will be missed and remembered by family, friends and staff.
Love and prayers. Love and Blessings. Virginia Mc Cusker

I have known Mrs. Shuler since I was a child. She has always been one of the finest people in the world and I never saw her when she was not happy and not making the people around her happy. Mary Brett, Richmond.
