Addis Rice Obituary

Addis E. Rice BALTIMORE - Addis E. Rice, "Pie Rice," of the 2900 block of Loudon Ave., departed this life Thursday, Nov. 12, 2009, at his residence. A native of Southampton County (Capron, Va.), he was the son of the late Roberta Barrett Rice and Charlie W. Rice Sr. Addis was preceded in death by his siblings, the Rev. Charlie W. Rice Jr., Henry Beamon Rice, Ruth Rice Smith, Roberta Rice Woodson and Linwood Rice. Addis was a member of The City Temple of Baltimore (Baptist) Church where he served faithfully on the Usher's Ministry. Survivors include his wife, Jeanie Rice of Baltimore; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A funeral will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17, at The City Temple of Baltimore (Baptist) Church, 317 Dolphin St., Baltimore, Md., the Rev. Grady A. Yeagin Jr., pastor. Interment to follow in the Maryland National Memorial Park, Laurel, Md. Funeral information provided by J.M. Wilkerson Funeral Establishment Inc., 102 South Ave., Petersburg, Va.
