Cecile Grimard Obituary

Cecile E. Grimard VIRGINIA BEACH - Cecile E. (Laforme) Grimard, 84, of Charla Lee Lane, died Saturday, Nov. 14, 2009 in her home with family by her side. She was the wife of the late Roger J. Grimard whom she married Dec. 26, 1973. Born in Woonsocket, R.I., she was the daughter of the late Philias and Yvonne (Poirier) Laforme. She had lived in Blackstone, Mass., before moving to Virginia in 1981. Cecile was a dedicated homemaker, committing herself to her family's care. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy L. Carle with whom she lived; three sons, Herbert and Steven Shugrue, both of Virginia Beach and Thomas Shugrue of Jacksonville, Fla.; one granddaughter, Meredith Carle; four grandsons, Maj. Robert M. Leone, Jason Carle, Christopher and Michael Shugrue; and her sister, Therese Thifault. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sandra Lee Shugrue and her brother, Roland Laforme. Funeral arrangements are private.

Dear Nancy,
Very sad to hear the news about your mother. I have many fond memories of growing up in Blackstone, of which you and your mom are apart of. Reading the write up in the paper, I remember when we wore your mom's waitressing uniform for Halloween one year. My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family.
