Amy Pippins Obituary

Amy Pippins SMITHFIELD - Amy Corrine Griggs Pippins, 26, passed away Thursday, Nov. 12, 2009 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Isle of Wight County. Amy was born in Suffolk, and was the daughter of Donald Barry and Elizabeth Ann Jones Griggs. She had made her home in Smithfield most of her life, with the exception of the nine years she resided in Williamston, N.C. In addition to her parents, Amy is survived by her beloved children, Kaitlin Marie Pippins and Landon Riley Pippins; the father of her children, Ricky Pippins; her sister, Cassie Elaine Griggs; her paternal grandparents, Harvey and Joyce Griggs; and a host of family and extended family. Amy was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Louise Mills and maternal grandfather, Hilton Jones. A service celebrating Amy's life will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, Nov. 16, in Colonial Funeral Home, Smithfield, with the Rev. Ray Roland officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends following the service at 4913 Godwin Blvd., Suffolk (Chuckatuck).
