Bobby and Caroline what a year we have all had. Who would have thought that Rita and Irene would have been gone in the same year? I can’t remember a time in my life when the Hunts were not a part of our family. Your mother was a constant and good friend to my mother as far back as I can ever remember. Bobby your dedication and devotion to your mother over the years was remarkable you are certainly deserving of any recognition.

I won’t be able to come down for the funeral but you all are in all of the Mahan’s thoughts.

Think of this though… and this helps me get through allot of trying moments. Irene and Ernie are together again just as I imagine Rita and Jess are together again. If we leave this world to dwell in the house of the lord, then INDEED that is one happy place to be today.

With much sympathy,
Marty Mahan

Carolyn,Bobby and family. Just want you to know that we wish all of you the best. Even though Irene is going to be missed, we know that it is for the best. I hope that you will understand that because of Gerie's condition, we will not be able to come down. I do not try to take her anywhere anymore. Please accept our condolences and know that our prayers are with all of you. God has blessed you by having Irene as a mother, grandmother and greatgrandmother. With
our love and best wishes. Bob and Gerie

At times like these, there are few words that can
ease the pain.

Irene was a dear friend to many people. She and my
Mother spent many hours on the telephone.

May you find comfort in knowing that you are in the thoughts and prayers of those who care very much
about you. Sincere sympathy, Frances Hardy
