Archie Vann Obituary

Archie Magnus Vann CONWAY - Archie Magnus Vann, 71, died Sunday, Nov. 15, 2009, at Guardian Care Nursing Home, Ahoskie. A native of Northampton County, Archie was a farmer and an employee of Brown's Mobile Home Sales in Murfreesboro. He was a member of Ashley's Grove Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Dorothy of the home; a son, Paul of Como; a daughter, Barbara of Franklin, Va.; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Roy of Hunterdale, Va.; and a sister, Flora Mae of Wilmington. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, Nov. 18, at 2 p.m. in Ashley's Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. David Ross presiding. The family requests that anyone wishing to share a memorial gift, please do so to Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters, P.O. Box 2156, Norfolk, VA 23501-9873 or to the American Heart Association, Memorial Process Center, P.O. Box 5216, Glen Allen, VA 23058-5216. Bridgers Funeral Home Inc. in Conway is in charge of arrangements.
