Margie Goodson Obituary

Margie B. Goodson NORFOLK - Margie B. Goodson of the 6500 block of Whitehorn Drive passed peacefully into eternal rest Saturday, Nov. 14, 2009. She was predeceased by her husband, Melvin J. Goodson Sr. and her son, Melvin J. Goodson Jr. She is survived by her mother, Beatrice Branch; daughters, Melvine "Kelly" Thomas, Barbara Coffer (Tommy) and Esther Foster; a sister, Ora Branch; brother, Woodrow Branch; and a special niece, Barbara Jordan. A funeral will be conducted Thursday, Nov. 19, at 11 a.m. in Shiloh Baptist Church, 745 Park Ave., with the Rev. Keith Jones officiating. Burial will be in Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery. Viewing will be Wednesday from 2 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The body will be placed in church at 10 a.m. Thursday. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 6 to 7 p.m. Riddick Funeral Service, 1225 Norview Ave., is in charge of arrangements.
