Stewart Lee Hagwood PORTSMOUTH - Stewart Lee Hagwood, born Sept. 10, 1937, left us to join the love of his life, Therese on Nov. 14, 2009. He leaves behind to honor his memory his children: daughters, Diana, husband Terry, Shelley, husband Tom and son, Gregory; grandchildren, Nicholas (Rachel), Amanda and Zachary; brother, Tom Hagwood of Florida and a special nephew, Wayne Kight. Stewart's wishes were to be cremated and a memorial service will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, 3920 Airline Blvd., Friday, Nov., 20, at 11 a.m. Burial will be private. Donations may be made to the Little League organization of your choice. Cremation Society of Virginia is assisting the family. "Miss me - but let me go: When I come to the end of the road, and the sun has set for me, I want no rites in a gloom -filled room. Why cry for a soul set free? Miss me a little - but not too long. And not with your head bowed low, remember the love that we once shared. Miss me - but let me go. For this is a journey that we all must take, and each must go alone. It's all part of the Master's plan, a step on the road to home. When you are lonely and sick of heart, go to the friends we know, and bury your sorrows in doing good deeds. Miss me - but let me go!"
