Edward Klep Obituary

Edward J. Klep Jr. SHAWBORO - Edward Joseph Klep Jr., 68, of the 100 block of S. Marshall Road, died Saturday, Nov. 14, 2009, at Albemarle Hospital, Elizabeth City, N.C. Born in Erie, Pa., he was the son of the late Edward Joseph Sr. and Ethel Mae Felman Klep and was the husband of Kathryn Marie Allison Klep of the residence. Mr. Klep worked for Northrop Grumman as a senior electronics field technician, and when he wasn't traveling for work he was an avid outdoorsman. He was active in the Meals on Wheels program until he became sick. Along with his wife, Mr. Klep is survived by his son, Dustin Klep of Shawboro, N.C.; a daughter, Danica Turner of Bishop, Calif.; and four grandchildren, Wesley Klep of Elizabeth City, N.C., Zhaki Klep of South Charleston, S.C., Makayla Turner and Raven Turner of Bishop. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Nov. 21, at 11 a.m. at Twiford's Colonial Chapel, 929 S. Battlefield Blvd., Chesapeake. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the American Lung Association, P.O. Box 27985, Raleigh, NC 27611, or to the Animal Lover Assistance League, P.O. Box 266, Currituck, NC 27929. Twiford Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 405 East Church St., Elizabeth City, NC is assisting the Klep family.
