Edward Brockdorff Obituary

Edward M. Brockdorff NORFOLK - Edward M. Brockdorff, 74, of the 9500 block of Lakeside Drive, passed away Nov. 17, 2009, in Newport News. A native of Washington D.C., he was the son of the late Henry A. and Marguerita L. Brockdorff. He retired from the City of Norfolk as a pump station manager after 35 years of service. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 3160, the American Legion Post 327 and the Democratic Club. He is survived by a sister, Esther Smith and husband Gerald; a sister-in-law, Florence Brockdorff; three nephews, three nieces and many great- and great-great- nieces and -nephews. A funeral will be conducted Friday at 11 a.m. in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, with Dr. J.D. Norris Jr. officiating. The burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m. Condolences may be offered to the family at www. hollomon-brown.com.
