Pattie Tatem Obituary

Pattie A. Tatem CORAPEAKE - Pattie Ann Tatem, 68, of the 900 block of Union Branch Road, died Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2009 in the University Hospice Unit of Pitt Memorial Hospital, Greenville, N.C. Ms. Tatem was born in Princess Anne County, Virginia, and was the daughter of the late John Sr. and India Rawls Tatem. A retired children's dental assistant with Dr. Bernard Einhorn in Norfolk, she was a member of Damascus Christian Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her special friend, Paula M. Gibbs. Surviving are her brother, John Tatem Jr. and wife Catharine of Courtland, Va.; two sisters, Kathleen Warren and husband Frank and Dot Moore and husband Johnny, all of Virginia Beach; seven nieces and nephews; seven great-nieces and -nephews; and seven great-great-nieces and -nephews. A private funeral will be held by the family. Miller Funeral Home, 304 Main St., Gatesville, is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to any chapter of the American Lung Association. Online condolences may be made to the family by visiting www.millerfhc.com.
