Mary Goodman Obituary

Mary Lee Goodman NORFOLK - Mary Lee Goodman, 83, died Monday, Nov. 16, 2009. She was born Dec. 3, 1925, in Edgecombe County, North Carolina. She was the widow of Raymond Goodman Sr. "I paid the cost to be the boss," she would always say. She devoted her life to taking care of her family. She leaves nine children, 17 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by Waverly Vick. Services will be held at noon Tuesday, Nov. 24, in Tidewater Bibleway Temple, 508 High St., Portsmouth. She will rest in the mausoleum in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Riddick Funeral Service, Norfolk.
