Jack Lee Obituary

Jack A. Lee NORFOLK - Jack A. Lee, 83, passed away peacefully Saturday, Nov. 21, 2009. He was born in Norfolk and was a graduate of Granby High School and attended the University of Virginia. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II and was an active member of the Chesapeake Athletic Club. He was an outstanding athlete in basketball, football, baseball, track, and golf. His passion and greatest accomplishment was his family and friends. He is survived by his soulmate, high school sweetheart, and wife of 64 years, Shirley; two sons, Ted and wife Diane and Dickie; and daughter, Terri. Jack was blessed with five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Pete Lee. The family would like to extend their compassion and appreciation to Dr. Pavon for his special care to our loved one. The graveside service will be conducted at Forest Lawn Cemetery on Granby Street, Norfolk, at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 23. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions in Jack's memory to the Chesapeake Athletic Club. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, is in charge. Dear Shirley and family,
