Harold Williams Obituary

Harold D. Williams VIRGINIA BEACH - Harold D. Williams of the 6100 Level of Green Court died Nov. 18, 2009. Born in Youngstown, Ohio, he was the widower of Mary Helen Cannon Williams. He retired after 22 years of service as a U.S. Navy chief petty officer, and also retired from his second occupation as a quality assurance inspector after 20 years with the Naval Aviation Depot. He was a member of First Lynnhaven Baptist Church, Virginia Beach. Survivors include daughter, Millicent Wade of Maryland; son, Douglas H. Williams (Alicia), Chesapeake; sister, Carolyn Floyd and Shirley Kelly (Frank) of Missouri; one brother, Kenneth Williams of Ohio; two granddaughters, Taylor Williams and Tyne Williams; a sister- in-law, Alfretta Williams of Missouri; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his mother, Mrs. Lulabelle Williams and father, Mr. Fred Williams Sr.; daughter, Toni Yvette Jones; sister, Olivia Hall; and two brothers, Fred Williams Jr. and Donald Williams. A funeral will be held today, Nov. 24, at 11 a.m. First Lynnhaven Baptist Church, Virginia Beach. Place of burial is Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery with Dr. E.M. Scott presiding. Community Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, is in charge.

My thoughts and prayers are with your family. May your memories help you through this time. I have many warm memories growing up on Level Green Court. They make me wish that I could find a neighbor like that to raise my child.
