June Cassio-Shaw Obituary

June P. Cassio-Shaw VIRGINIA BEACH - June P. Cassio-Shaw, 55, of the 2300 block of Sedgewick Drive, passed away Nov. 23, 2009, in her home. A native of Mount Vernon, N.Y., she was employed as a collections agent. June enjoyed bingo, loved cooking dinner for her family, decorating the home for the holidays, collecting angels, shopping and making friends wherever she went. She was an avid fan of Elvis and soap operas. June is survived by her husband, Daniel R. Shaw; her son, Mark Allen Cassio of Virginia Beach; and three brothers, Tony Cassio and his wife Pat of Connecticut, Louis Cassio and family and Bobby Cassio and family. She is also survived by the Puzzo, Falci, Rizzuto families and a host of nieces and nephews. A special thanks to all the staff of Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital for all their wonderful support and care. A funeral will be conducted Saturday at 11 a.m. in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Neck Chapel. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service. Memorial donations may be made to Lymphoma Research Foundation, 115 Broadway, 13th Floor, New York, NY 10006. Condolences may be offered to the family at www. hollomon-brown.com.
