Carl Johnson Obituary

Carl R. Johnson Sr. NORFOLK - Carl Reno Johnson Sr. of the 900 block of Druid Circle departed this life Nov. 19, 2009, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. Mr. Johnson served in the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by his mother, Rosa Mae Thomas; his father, Clifton C. Johnson; and his brother, Melvin Williams. He is survived by one son, Carl R. Johnson Jr. (Shakelia); one daughter, Audrey Barnes (Eric); five grandsons; two brothers, Clifton C. Johnson Jr. and Larrie C. Johnson; two sisters, Cameldon C. Wells (Windsor) and Theon Lee; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1, in Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery, Suffolk. The remains will be ready for viewing Monday from 3:30 to 8 p.m. The family will receive family and friends from 5 to 8 p.m. The family will assemble at the funeral home at 10 a.m. for the procession. www.carlosahowardfuneralhomes.com.
