Jeffrey Jackson Obituary

Jeffrey L. Jackson VIRGINIA BEACH - Jeffrey L. Jackson, 54, of the 1000 block of Downshire Chase, passed away Nov. 25, 2009. A native of Atlanta, he was a chemical engineer. He was a member of Lynnhaven United Methodist Church where he taught the Bible Explorers Sunday school class. He was a graduate of Clarkston High School in Stone Mountain, Ga. He was a graduate of Georgia Tech with a BCHE and received his MBA from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas. In addition to his professional career, Jeff was a frequent volunteer coach for his children's sports teams. He also volunteered for the Judeo Christian Outreach Center by sorting and organizing the book donations at JCOC Shelter Thrift Store. He is survived by his mother, Virginia Brown Jackson of Woodstock, Ga.; his wife of 29 years, Nancy Sampson Jackson of Virginia Beach; his daughter, Kathryn Ann Jackson of Oita, Japan; and two sons, Alexander S. Jackson and Andrew R. Jackson, both of Virginia Beach; two brothers, Richard A. Jackson and wife Monica of Glen Allen, Va., and Ronald L. Jackson and wife Greta of Suwanee, Ga.; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Laverne M. Jackson and his stillborn daughter, Bertha Apolonia Jackson. A memorial service will be held at Lynnhaven United Methodist Church in late December with Pastor Ralph Satter officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Lynnhaven United Methodist Church, 1033 Little Neck Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23452 or JUDEO Christian Outreach, 1053 Virginia Beach Blvd., Virginia Beach, VA 23451.
