Doris Williams Obituary

Doris H. Williams SUFFOLK - Doris Wiggins Hurley Williams, 75, passed away Dec. 1, 2009. She was born in Goldsboro, N.C., the daughter of the late Lois Avery and Johnnie Horace Wiggins. She was predeceased by two husbands, George Hurley Jr. and John Edwin Williams, and a brother, Buck McCoy Wiggins. Doris was a member of Suffolk Christian Church, the West Memorial Class, and the Afternoon Circle. Doris is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl H. and Kenneth Griffin of Suffolk; sons and daughters-in-law, George "Bucky" Hurley III and Kay Hurley of Suffolk, Keith and Becky Hurley of Richmond, Va.; grandchildren, Laura, Heather and Chris Hurley, Kyle and Mary Shannon Griffin; brother and sister-in-law, Joseph Horace Wiggins and Ruby Wiggins of Richmond; numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and -nephews. A service will be held Saturday, Dec. 5, at 2 p.m. at Suffolk Christian Church with the Rev. Michael D. Halley officiating. Burial will follow at Holly Lawn Cemetery. Friends may join the family at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory Friday from 7:30 to 9 p.m. and other times at the residence of Cheryl and Kenneth Griffin. Memorial donations may be made to Suffolk Christian Church, Youth Mission Trip Fund, P.O. Box 1457, Suffolk, VA 23439. Condolences may be registered online at www. parrfuneralhome.com.
