Virginia Sakakini Hill NORFOLK - Virginia Sakakini Hill, 91, passed away Dec. 4, 2009, at home in the comfort of her loving family. She is survived by her daughter, Suzanne Cox and Al Lambiase; son, John and wife Carol Hill; and granddaughters, Tracy Cox-Jones, Ginger Cox-Paluck, and Jenna Hill. Virginia lived a full life. Virginia was very active in her community. She traveled the world with her husband, enjoyed family, cooking, painting, and was an outstanding seamstress. She served as Job's Daughters Honor Queen of Bethel 3, a member of Eastern Star; was a former president of Little Creek Women's Club, served a term as president of the Federation of Garden Clubs of Norfolk, and was an active member in both the Church of The Advent and Ocean View Baptist Church. Deeply loved by so many, Virginia was a loving, caring influence to all who have crossed her path. A generous, kind and compassionate spirit, Virginia will be sorely missed. Service will be Dec. 7 at 11 a.m. in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home on Tidewater Drive, Norfolk Chapel, by the Rev. Richard Budd. Visitation will be today, Dec. 6, from 6 to 9 p.m.
