Edwin West Sr.

Edwin B. West Sr. VIRGINIA BEACH - Edwin Bernard West Sr., 71, of the 3700 block of Old Forge Road, passed away Dec. 3, 2009, in Virginia Beach. A native of Michigan, he was the son of the late George and Dorothy West and the widower of Lorraine Catherine West. He was a self-employed contractor. He was a member of the VFW, Fleet Reserve, The Forresters, and was active in Bowling For Miracles. He was a Navy veteran of Vietnam. He is survived by his two sons, Edwin West Jr. and Ronald West; three brothers, Bill, Lawrence and Norman West; two sisters, Norma Jean Batchelor and Ruthann Howard; and three grandchildren, Hannah, Kyle, and Courtney. A funeral will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel, with the Rev. Ernest L. Trueblood officiating. The burial will follow in Princess Anne Memorial Park.
