Edwin West Obituary

Edwin B. West Sr. VIRGINIA BEACH - Edwin Bernard West Sr., 71, of the 3700 block of Old Forge Road, passed away Dec. 3, 2009, in Virginia Beach. A native of Michigan, he was the son of the late George and Dorothy West and the widower of Lorraine Catherine West. He was a self-employed contractor. He was a member of the VFW, Fleet Reserve, The Forresters, and was active in Bowling For Miracles. He was a Navy veteran of Vietnam. He is survived by his two sons, Edwin West Jr. and Ronald West; three brothers, Bill, Lawrence and Norman West; two sisters, Norma Jean Batchelor and Ruthann Howard; and three grandchildren, Hannah, Kyle, and Courtney. A funeral will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel, with the Rev. Ernest L. Trueblood officiating. The burial will follow in Princess Anne Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. Condolences may be offered to the family at www. hollomon-brown.com.
