Virginia Strohmeyer Obituary

Virginia G. Strohmeyer NORFOLK - Virginia G. Strohmeyer, 85, passed away Dec. 8, 2009 in her home. A native of Norfolk, she was the daughter of the late Gertrude and Arthur E. Conrad Sr. She was Roman Catholic. She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Bernard D. Strohmeyer Sr.; three sons, Bernard D. Strohmeyer Jr. of Norfolk, John A. Strohmeyer of Norcross, Ga., and Robert W. Strohmeyer of Norfolk; a brother, George C. Conrad of North Carolina; five grandchildren, Melinda, Elizabeth, Robert, Jennifer and John Michael; and two great-grandchildren, Korey and Parker. A funeral will be conducted Saturday at 1 p.m. at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, with Father Theodore Papafil officiating. The burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters or Boys Town, 7710 Mercy Road, Omaha, NE 68124-2372.
