Margaret Babb Obituary

Margaret Faye T. Babb SUFFOLK - Margaret Faye Thomas Babb, 70, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Dec. 8, 2009, after her courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Suffolk, the daughter of the late Bessie Matilda Harrell Thomas and James Jackson Thomas. She was predeceased by her sisters and brother, Mary Megginson, Juanita Thomas, and Howard Dempsey Thomas. Margaret retired after numerous years as private care companion aide. She was a member of First Baptist Church. Margaret is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Lisa Gayle and Wayne Gayle, Susan B. Brobjorg, both of Suffolk; sons and daughters- in-law, Robert W. and Sandra J. Babb of Suffolk, Tony A. and Eileen Babb of Virginia Beach; grandchildren, Christopher and Tabatha Boone, Meghan and Austin Babb, Hannah and Katie Brobjorg, Christopher and Angelica Collins; sister, Joyce Ann Sandman of Colorado; and brothers, James Jackson Thomas Jr. of Suffolk, Robert E. Thomas of Windsor, Va. A celebration of life will be held Friday, Dec. 11, at 3:30 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3515 Robs Drive, Suffolk, with Dr. Bryan Ray and the Rev. Michael D. Halley officiating. A visitation will follow after service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Suffolk Humane Society, P.O. Box 5083, Suffolk, VA 23435.
