Stanley Midgette Obituary

Stanley F. Midgette SUFFOLK - Stanley F. Midgette, 62, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2009, in a Chesapeake hospital. He retired in 1990 as a professional truck driver. Born in Norfolk, he was the son of Velma and Ted Anthony of Norfolk. He was a member of Green Lakes Baptist Church in Portsmouth. Left to cherish his memory are his loving parents; his beloved wife, Darlene Hackworth-Midgette of Suffolk; two sons; one stepson; his brother, Mark Maddox; and a grandson, Daniel Elmore. A graveside memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 16, in Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery, 5310 Milner's Road, Suffolk, by the Rev. Dwight Buchholz and the Rev. Carlton Everett. Memorial contributions may be made to The Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters, P.O. Box 2156, Norfolk, VA 23501. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk Chapel, is handling arrangements. Online condolences may be offered to the family through hdoliver.com.
