Dorothy Owen Obituary

Dorothy Owen NORFOLK - Mrs. Dorothy "Dot" Spence Owen, 63, formerly of Surf City, N.C., died Dec. 14, 2009, at her home. She was predeceased by her first husband, Kenneth Spence and a brother, Hughie Paul Jackson. Surviving are her husband, Willard Owen; a son, Michael Owen and wife Sandy of Virginia Beach; a daughter, Marilyn Kramer and husband Larry of Miami Beach, Fla.; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a niece, Gina Kelly of Dunn, N.C.; and a nephew, Dr. Brian Jackson of Wilmington. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Skinner & Smith Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Jackson Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. today at Skinner & Smith Funeral Home in Dunn, N.C. Memorial may be made to: The American Cancer Society, 8300 Health Park Suite 10, Raleigh, NC 27615.
