Mary Small Obituary

Mary Small SUFFOLK - Mary Elizabeth Draper Small, 66, went to be with the Lord Dec. 19, 2009. She was born in Hampton, the daughter of the late Luther Garland Draper Sr. and Retha Elizabeth Lassiter Draper. She was predeceased by a sister and a brother. Mary worked as a nurse for Louise Obici Memorial Hospital. Mary is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Sandra S. Luter, Debra S. and Dan Boehning, all of Suffolk; grandchildren, Courtney, Joshua, Madison and Christian; aunts and uncles, Audrey Woodard of Hampton, Edward Lassiter, Albert Lassiter, both of Newport News, Faye Drake, Dorothy White both of Creeksville, N.C., and Ethel Draper of Mount Olive, N.C.; numerous loving cousins, nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, Dec. 22, at 2 p.m. at Milwaukee Cemetery in Milwaukee, N.C., with Dr. Dennis H. Draper Jr. officiating. Friends may join the family other times at the residence of Debra and Dan Boehning. Memorial contributions may be made to Southside Baptist Church Building Fund, 917 Carolina Road, Suffolk, VA 23434. Parr Funeral Home & Crematory is serving the family. Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com. Mom will be remembered for her great love of family, her ability to make you believe anything was possible, and her gift for making the ordinary seem special.
