Nancy Peisel Obituary

Nancy Ellen Peisel CHESAPEAKE - Nancy Ellen Peisel, 88, of the 1500 block of Waterway Court, passed away April 5, 2010 in her home. A native of Index, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Noah and Kate Elam and the widow of Francis Michael Peisel. She was a volunteer for 27 years at Chesapeake General Hospital and Chesapeake City Hall. She was an avid gardener and loved playing in the dirt; she also enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. She is survived by her two daughters, Mary Kay Creighton of South Abington Township, Pa., and Karen Dawn Koonce of Chesapeake; a sister, Mary "Betty" Larison and husband Gilbert of Kokomo, Ind.; three grandchildren, Amber Dawn Koonce, Matthew Creighton and Jennifer Lepore; and four great- grandchildren, Julieann, Noah, Benjamin and Jacob Lepore. A funeral will be conducted Friday at 12:30 p.m. in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel. The burial will follow in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Condolences may be offered to the family at www. hollomon-brown.com.

Karen,
I am so sorry to hear about your mother. I lost mine last August and feel your pain. Mrs Peisel was such a nice person to me as I'm sure she was to everyone she knew. Cherish her memories and the Lord will guide your family thru these difficult times.
