My sincere condolences to Bumpsie and the entire Modlin family. Linwood was an inspiration to me. He was an artist with metal and wood….. and a master craftsman who could build or repair virtually anything. More than that, he was a sincere and compassionate mentor, neighbor and friend. … and together with Bumpsie – well, they showed the rest of us just how precious and beautiful a loving marriage can be. I’ll always be grateful for the lessons learned.

Modlin family,

Please accept my condolences on the passing of Mr. Modlin. His advice and humor in the garage were instrumental in my success in life. He was a respected role model for me.

Our deepest sympathy goes to the Modlin family on the passing of Lin Modlin. I can remember my father, Lee Hollowell, and Lin painting and working on cars together and building Gerry Davis' race car and many more memories. I'm sure he will be missed dearly.

My heart goes out to the family.
I will always have the memories of my teen years spending time in the garage and talking about cars, with a man who
taught my Bill so much about hot rods and race cars.
