Ann Thomas Obituary

Ann Chapman Thomas VIRGINIA BEACH - Ann Chapman Thomas, 91, of Norfolk, died Thursday, April 8, 2010. She was preceded in death by her husband, Col. Charles R. Thomas. She is survived by her son, Charles Randolf Thomas of Baltimore; two daughters, Anne Thomas Caverly and her husband N. Brian Caverly of Shickshinny, Pa., and Sally Thomas Kutz and her husband William C. Kutz of Richmond. Her three grandchildren and their children along with loving nephews brought great joy in her life. She was a longtime member of the Church of Ascension and enjoyed active involvement in the Daughters of the American Colonists, the Colonial Dames XVII Century, and the Daughters of the American Revolution. She spent her later years with many friends, old and new, at the Westminster Canterbury at Virginia Beach. Her family wishes to thank the many who provided her with loving care and companionship that brought her such happiness in her later years. A memorial service in celebration of her life will be held Saturday, May 1, at 11 a.m. at the Westminster Canterbury Holy Trinity Chapel, with a reception to follow in the Anderson Bayview Room. In lieu of flowers, consider contributions to the Church of Ascension at 405 Talbot Hall Road, Norfolk, VA 23505 and Special Olympics Virginia. H.D.
