Grace Jenkins Obituary

Grace W. Jenkins PORTSMOUTH - Grace W. Jenkins, 66, died April 12, 2010 in Sentara Nursing Center. She was born in Jacksonville, Fla., and a member of First Baptist Elm Avenue, Portsmouth. She is survived by one daughter, Erika D. Jenkins (Corey Eley Sr.) of Chesapeake; one sister, Betty J. Wright (Joseph) of Portsmouth; four grandchildren, Cedric S. Harris Jr., ShaCori Jenkins and Corey Eley Jr.; a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. She was predeceased in death by her son, Cedric S. Harris Sr.; mother and father, Martha and Samuel Harris Sr.; and a granddaughter, Chiquita Carter. A funeral will be held Saturday, April 17, at 11 a.m. in First Baptist Elm Avenue with the Rev. Gregory Thomas and the Rev. Leon Boone presiding. Burial will follow in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery. Corprew Funeral Home is in charge. Special thanks to Senator L. Louise Lucas.
