Jeanne LeNoir Obituary

Jeanne G. LeNoir NORFOLK - Jeanne Gordon LeNoir, 85, born April 24, 1924, left this life April 13, 2010 for the peace and happiness that she has long deserved. A Norfolk native, she was the daughter of the late Ruth Burroughs LeNoir and Walter Gordon LeNoir and was the former wife of the late William F. Gunn. Jeanne graduated from Granby High School in 1942 and attended The College of William and Mary. Most of her years were spent loving and caring for her family. Survivors include her daughter, Nancy Claycomb and her husband Percy of Virginia Beach; three sons, William F. Gunn Jr. and his wife Lynda of Fort Mill, S.C., John Gunn and his wife Loretta of Simpsonville, S.C., and David Gunn of Tampa, Fla.; six grandchildren, Ryan, Lyndsey, Brett, Amy, Shelley and Scott; and two great- grandchildren, Tyler and Abby. A graveside memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 24, at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Norfolk. The Rev. John Monroe of Royster Memorial Presbyterian Church will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service at the home of Percy and Nancy Claycomb. A guestbook and sympathy cards are available at www. forestlawnhendersonville. com. Forest Lawn Mortuary, Hendersonville, N.C., is assisting the family with arrangements.
