Juan Zavala Obituary

Juan B. Zavala NORFOLK - Our heavenly father in his divine wisdom called to rest a son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend on Saturday, April 17, 2010. Juan B. Zavala was born Sept. 26, 1949, preceded in death by his mother, Margarita Rivera and eldest son, John Zavala. Juan Zavala served 25 years in the Department of the Navy before retiring. He leaves to cherish his wonderful memory his loving mother-in-law, Isabel Anes; a devoted and loving wife of 40 years, Ivette I. Zavala; three sons, Zane Zavala, Jerry Zavala and Joshua Zavala; a special son and daughter, Dr. Edwin and Nancy Gonzales; one daughter-in-law, Tina Zavala and a special friend of Jerry Zavala, Trish Richardson; seven grandchildren, Zane Zavala Jr., Devontae Zavala, Giovanni Zavala, Abeulo's special girl Zana Zavala, Courtney Katherine Zavala, Jerry Zavala Jr. and Jasmine Zavala; a sister-in-law, Maria Perez and close family friend who was like a brother, Pedro Millan. Also mourning his passing are two sisters, one brother and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Riddick Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

It hasn't been the same at work without you. 2 and half years of doing same morning rituals, it just so different now. I'm glad I got to spend time with until the end. You always be in my heart like dad and always be in my memories. So with me saying, don't make me throw my boot at you, which is inside joke between the two of us. Always love ya and prayers go out to your family.
