Lyndol Johnson Obituary

Lyndol Ryals Johnson PORTSMOUTH - Lyndol Ryals Johnson, 88, wife of the late Horace G. Johnson, went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 23, 2010. A native of Callahan, Fla., she is survived by two daughters, Phyllis Skeeter and her husband Bill of Portsmouth and Pat Deans and her husband Albin of Chesapeake. She also leaves to cherish her memory five grandchildren, Chris Skeeter (Karen), Todd Skeeter (Kim), Brad Skeeter (Kim), Jim Deans (Lee) and Dana Gillentine and 13 great- grandchildren, Jessica, Samantha, Stefan, Meghan, Kyle, Stone, Jennifer, Mikka, Kelsey, Aubrey, Robbie, Madison and Macy. She was predeceased by her parents, W.J. Ryals and Estelle Wittemore Ryals and brother, John William Ryals. She was a longtime resident of Portsmouth and a member of Park View Baptist Church. She will most be remembered for the wonderful meals that were shared in her home where everyone was always welcome. The family wishes to give special thanks to Donald L. Cochran, MD and the staff and caregivers at Bon Secours Maryview Nursing Care Center for all the special loving care given to our dear Mother over the years. A funeral to celebrate her life will be held Tuesday, April 27, at 2 p.m. in Loving Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel, with Chaplain Chuck Leavitt officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Portsmouth. Online condolences and Mrs. Johnson's guestbook may be signed at www.lovingfuneralhome.com. Dear Phill , Pat, and family , We will greatly miss our beloved Lyndol who is with the Lord which gives us the hope in Christ Jesus where we will see her in heaven and give her a big hug for loving us greatly as only she could with having the love of Christ in her. I have sent flowers, two cards and many prayers to provide some comfort and I am with you in the spirit of the Lord who provides all grace and mercy with love. I pray that the SON continue to shine on all the family in this time of grief and great loss of Lyndol our Christlike friend and Mom. In Christ Alone with peace and love . Rich, Lisa, and Boys
