Betty was one of the most loving and giving persons I have known. We worked together with the Red Cross, in the Officers' Wives Club, and in the community. Her lovely home in Stoneybrook was always open to her friends. I still have a lovely shawl that she crocheted many years ago and donated to the FEOWC for a fund raiser. She will be missed but she left beautiful memories! My heart goes out to each of you.

My condolences to Mickie and Brigette on losing Betty for a little while. As you know. your mother had an exceptional ability to lift the spirits of others. Her smile and cheerfulness were contagious, so I'd try to meet her on walks hoping that some of that cheer would rub off on me. For what it's worth, she always spoke well of her daughters and of her "Guissep".. Dick Pfeifer neighbor in Newport News

I had the privilege of knowing Betty for the 18 years that I was the secretary of the Riverside Hospice Program. She came faithfully every Friday with a very caring heart and smile. She and Col. Cona also opened their home to host our Hospice Christmas parties for many years. I will always cherish the memories of Betty as I hope you will to. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

What a pleasure it was to have met and get to know such a sweet lady. I can hear her cute little laugh when I would speak with her and see her with rows of bright jewelry.

We are so sad to hear about Mimi! Mimi and Joe were our neighbors in Stoneybrook for 30 years. She was a truly remarkable woman--walking everyday and all her volunteer work--she hardly ever stopped. Everyone should live such a full life--and to be loved by so many!! All our love to you and your family.

I remember Betty from the day I started working at Riverside Hospice in 1994. We hit it off really well. Betty was always so loving and friendly. She and Joe made such a beautiful couple and he visited our office many times.
May your cherished memories of Betty keep her close to you.
Be encouraged and blessed.
